The Best Side Neighborhood Coalition (BSNC) is a group of neighbors dedicated to making the West Side a stronger, more connected, and more vibrant place to live.
We believe that thriving neighborhoods are built on small acts of care, shared spaces, and opportunities for people to come together — across streets, generations, and backgrounds.
We are committed to creating a space where everyone feels welcome. Whether you’ve lived here for decades or just moved in, whether you’re looking to share a skill, lend a hand, or simply connect with neighbors, there’s a place for you in the Best Side.
Our goal is to nurture connections and trust before tackling larger initiatives, building a base of neighbors who are engaged, invested, and proud of where they live.
Looking ahead, we are also focused on the next generation. By providing opportunities for youth and families to participate, learn, and grow alongside longtime residents, we ensure that the West Side remains a vibrant, caring, and resilient neighborhood for years to come.
Our approach is simple: start with what brings people together, celebrate the successes of small projects, and let momentum build.
The Best Side Neighborhood Coalition was born from a simple idea: neighbors helping neighbors, building connections, and making our community stronger together.
Most West Side neighborhoods exist outside of Cincinnati city limits, which means we don’t always have the same access to resources and support that other areas, like Cincinnati proper, can rely on. Even parts of the city, like Westwood, can feel overlooked.
We saw an opportunity to fill the gaps where we can. Creating projects, gatherings, and support systems that make everyday life easier, safer, and more vibrant. This isn’t about competing with existing organizations — it’s about coming together, sharing resources, and building connections where it matters most.
By working alongside each other, neighbors can tackle small needs, celebrate wins, and lay the groundwork for long-term improvements.
